B-o-u-n-d-a-r-i-e-s!

There are boundaries that shouldn't be crossed.

"What are the boundaries in your life?

OR

"Do YOU cross boundaries that you have no business crossing?"

Look for this topic in my New Book coming in 2012!

Food For Thought

Don't cross the line!

It boils down to nervy people and a lack of respect

for the person whose boundary is being crossed with.

Sometimes it could be unintentional, other times, not.

So,you want to look at it in the right mindset

& determine if the person(s) has

a habit of crossing the line in some way.

Proper boundaries need to be discussed.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We didn't fly to Baltimore to be with my family,

however, my in-laws flew to Atlanta from California

& we had a great time! Plenty of food & laughter!

Later, they joined my husband & I at our new home to

watch my favorite team...the Baltimore RAVENS!

We counted our blessings!

Here are some more photos that I took on my walk enjoying nature.

I'm always observing things in the spiritual realm in my daily life, and I've realized for some time now that GOD speaks to us in many ways, if we're open to receive & believe.

I noticed a "bare" tree, and then I noticed a tree with leaves on it and thought to myself, I wish "fruit" trees were in season, because I'd love to take a picture of it. Then I looked around and there was a tree with some sort of berry on it.

Obviously, I thought of the scripture JOHN 15:5 "Yes, I am the Vine, you are the branches, those who remain in me, and I in them , will produce much fruit, for apart from ME you can do nothing."

Food For Thought

It's good to remain in HIM,

just because HE "IS".

"Are you bearing any fruit?"

A few days ago, I went to the park for a nice long walk.

Although it was rather chilly & windy outside, it was also beautiful & serene.

Take a look at the photos I took.

I don't celebrate Halloween...

and I haven't in many years.

I don't judge those who do.

If you're a mom like me &

you don't celebrate Halloween,

and feel like you're kids

think you're being a party pooper,

you can get creative in other ways.

Before you do the creative thing...

explain to your children why you're not celebrating .

One Halloween, I made crossword puzzles for my sons

of scriptures from our own bibe study that

I had with my sons at home.

I rewarded them with candy, or some small gift.

They didn't feel like they were missing anything.

We had a good time at home in God's word!

Do other things...like a movie night or

playing board games at home.

Food For Thought

As a young girl & early adulthood, I never knew what

this holiday was all about. I just followed what was passed

down to me. When I found out...I stopped celebrating.

Whenever you get involved in something...

know why you're doing it.

Research things for yourself.

Thank you Husband!

I love you!

Find some time today to relax for 30-45 minutes!

No phones,no television,no computers,etc.

Relaxing doesn't mean turning off things,

so you'll focus or wander on issues.

Visualize yourself walking on a

gorgeous beach on a cool day,

as the winds blow on your face.

Mentally take your mind on a vacation.

Food For Thought

Make sure that the space in which you're relaxing

isn't cluttered so that your mind won't be cluttered.

Sunday, October 9, 2011

There are times when you'll have to fly solo in

order to accomplish personal goals.

It's true that we'll need the help of others at some point,

however,it's ok to take time to reflect, replan and reset

new ideas in order to go higher.

Food For Thought

Alone time always does us

good when it's for revelation of sorts

an awakening or

simply to relax the mind & body.

you can say to this mountain,

"move from here to there" and it will move.

Nothing will be impossible for you.

"Parental Alienation"

This is a very serious matter. For those of you who aren't aware of it...allow me to explain in simplest terms. Parental Alienation is a "severe" case of brainwashing of a child during a break-up or a divorce. One parent trys to gain all aspects of "control" over the child and/or children. The ultimate goal for the brainwasher is to make you look bad, because in all honesty, you are the "good parent". Not to say that the other parent is "bad". However, the behavior of such things are awful. The parent who is trying to gain control, plots & plans schemes of deception, lies, manipulation and a host of underhandedness. More than likely, this person was an abuser in the relationship/marriage. The objective here is to get what they want & to try and make your life a living hell because you decided that you no longer wanted to remain in an unhealthy relationship or marriage. The brainwasher uses anything & everything to twist the truth, and knows no morals when on his or her personal mission.
There is so much to parental alienation that I won't get into...however I will
suggest that you do your research and ALWAYS be the bigger person by not bad mouthing the parent who has taken this negative approach.

Parental alienation is a painful experience for the parent who is loving and doing the right thing. In the end, you'll be able to sleep at night knowing that your conscience is clear.
Last but not least, DO NOT
take this severe case of brainwashing personal! DO NOT take your frustrations out on your child/children. You will not be able to make a child or children understand adult matters. Just give it to GOD,and keep being the best parent that you know how to be.

Food For Thought

As your child matures,

eventually he or she will see the big picture.

I didn'tforget you all. I've been very busy these past few weeks.Actually months! There has been a transition in my life and it's harvest time! :)

I've planted some seeds back then, and still do, and now I'm reaping from it & it feels so good. I give all the honor & glory to GOD! He is soooo worthy and amazingly awesome! I thank Him!

Stay in your obedience to God. Continue to do right by other's even when they have wronged you. It doesn't even matter who it is. It could be anyone. Even a complete stranger. The point here is that no matter what they do or say...YOU, are responsible for what YOU do. Trust me, you don't want to be on the wrong side when it's time to reap what YOU have sewn. "Is it always easy to let things go?" "Is it always easy to keep your mouth closed when you know that someone deserves a good fussing out?" "Is it always easy to walk away?" "Is it easy to bless your enemies?"

The answer to that is NO WAY! lol.

However, GOD is your vindicator &

HE is your rewarder.

Stand firm on HIS WAY...

then sit back through your

hurts,tears & sometimes fears,

& watch what GOD does for You!

Praise,Prayer, & Patience is Powerful!

Well I finally made it back to Baltimore,Md to visit my family & we had a great time. My husband & youngest son hadn't been to the Baltimore Aquarium, so we went there at the Inner Harbor. We did alot of eating too. Naturally we had crabcakes & they were were soooooo scumptious!

We had a nice time, but it does feel good to be back in Atlanta & in my own bed!

Food For Thought:

Life is short.

Make time to see loved ones!

I've been very busy lately so now it's

best for me to slow it down just a bit.

some quiet alone time?"

Food For Thought
Balance is Key!

Hello Ladies,

It's been a few weeks. I've been busy but you're still on my mind.

I want to encourage someone today. Maybe it's you, or you may pass along to a woman that you know. It's heavy on my heart that you must know who you are. Stop doubting yourself and your capabilities.Even if at the moment you don't see anything that you feel is concrete...trust me when I tell you, there IS more to you that you can see or think. God has given each of us something special. He is no respecter of persons, and you need to really, really believe in yourself no matter what! It doesn't matter what others think or say about you. Anyone who would discourage you isn't in your corner! Stop pulling doubt out of the bag only to convince yourself that you can't do something. Whatever it is...know that YOU CAN do it!!!!!

This is your life!

If it's broken... fix it!

If you have a dream... go after it!

If you need to change something... change it!

I believe in you.

Pray, & then put one foot in front of the other and

DO NOT allow fear to keep you from having or

being all that you can become.

Trust,it's already within you...

just pull out faith, and throw away fear!

Food For Thought

"If there's nothing on the ground

that's worth anything,

why have you been holding your head down?"

Hold your head high! :)

Have a BLESSED Day!

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

Yes,sometimes you just have to get on the dance floor and have a good time! This was at the birthday party last year of an old friend. She & I were in a Cover Model Search many years ago. My husband & I decided to go out and enjoy ourselves. He waited for "his" turn to dance with me. You better believe my husband made sure of that! lol.He asked the guy to change places with him next go around because he wanted to dance with me,"his wife". Naturally, I suggested the "soul train" line as I was ready to dance ,dance, dance!

We had a blast!

Food for Thought

You can have a good time &

keep your values & morals in tact.

I'm so looking forward to visiting with my family in Baltimore very soon! My husband said we will never go during the winter months because it 's so cold.

A cold that he had never felt before although he had experienced it on a small level while at college in Utah.

We laugh about it all the time that Baltimore's weatherfeels like your skin is peeling off of your face! lol

I cannot wait to see my parents & for my dad to fix us his AWESOME hot chili that my mouth has been watering for. No one , and I mean no one makes chili like my dad! Now, my mother, well she can cook it all! No matter what she cooks, you'll be back for 2nd's & 3rd's! I will get to see my older sisters and my brother ,a new sister -n- law, and welcomed additions ,nieces and nephews. I will get to hug these precious babies that I've only seen pictures of. I'm excited to share with my husband some areas of Baltimore that we didn't get a chance to visit the last time. I will definitely take him to the Inner Harbor and enjoy the BEST CRABCAKES across the country! Hands Down! 'Home of the Maryland Crab!

Food For Thought
We make time for many things,

but making time to visit family

near or far is the most important,

especially if you haven't seen them in a while.

It's Family!

Be your best self today

even if you have to

SELF

EVAL-U-ATE

Stay in your lane, and no one else's!

Concern yourself with your life and not

interfere with other people's personal business.

If you're not being a blessing,

then that means that you're in the wrong lane

& that satan is using you to attempt to cause problems for others.

There's never a time to excuse or make sense out of your wrongs.

Search inside of your heart

& deal with what you know are evil works.

If you've manipulated,offended,insulted,

gossipped about another person(s)

that's NOT Godly! Repent!

"Are you being a blessing for the Lord, or

are you doing evil for the devil?"

Serving God and doing what is right

is not always at our convenience.

Food For Thought

GOD ALWAYS puts each of us

in a position to be a

blessing somehow ,some way,everyday!

Be a blessing & you'll get a blessing,

somehow,some way,one day!

If you're doing evil works to others,KARMA has a way

of teaching you a lesson that you'll never forget.

Get on GOD's side & STAY THERE!

Well, the end of the school has come around.

What will your kids do for the summer?

For some single parents it may not be easy to take summer vacations, or even to send your children to a summer camp or program.

Perhaps your place of worship may offer a place for kids to go & have some fun while you're working. Check with the Boys & Girls Club, the YMCA and just check around with family and friends.

What interests your child? What about hobbies? Maybe a "free" class is being offered in your community . If your teen is able to work, then that's good thing! Atleast part time. Just keep your eyes & ears open so you may find something for them to do. Kids don't need too much idle time.

You don't want to leave your kids feeling that they're alone & bored. Spend time with them after work. Whatever you do, your young children should not be left alone at home .As far as your teens go...this is a no-no. Why?

Too many teens get involved in

things that aren't productive.

You may trust your teen just I did...

& there were times that they had to stay at home while I worked.

However, I was blessed to have obedient sons.

(So because I had no choice...I knew it would be ok.)

They respected me and our home.

If you have no choice where your teen is concerned and you feel comfortable about it...then you just have to do what you have to to.

Unfortunately, some teens hang with the wrong crowds and their parents allow them to do whatever and never put their foot down.

This can lead to drinking alcohol, teen pregnancies , crime, gangs, etc.

PARENTS...put your foot down. This is LOVE!

Guide them in the right direction.

Obviously, this isn't always the parents fault...

yet sometimes it may be.

Whatever you do...make sure you're doing all you

can to be attentive to your young child or teen.

Know their friends & their parents.

My oldest son told me not long ago

that he used to think I was strict,

& says he is so grateful how I've raised him.

He stated that he sees how alot of the youth

have no respect and get involved in numerous things.

Remember that you are the PARENT...

& not their FRIEND.

Expect your young child or teen to get bothered

when you say no to hanging out with the wrong people.

They will get mad when you tell

them to be in the house before dark

or some other specific time.

Set curfews, stick to it!

Kids try to make parents feel guilty...

and yes it may work sometimes. lol

You cannot go back on your word & if you do...

it has to be a darn good reason! lol

Stand firm with your children OR

you may have sons & daughters

who will do as they please

and you may lose control.

Parents may have good kids,

but if they hang with the wrong crowd,

it could become a battle to turn them around.

1st Corinthians 15:33

Do not be deceived;

Bad company corrupts good morals.

Give them an opportunity to be great kids,

and become great adults.

It starts with us...the parents.

Food For Thought

"Do you know what your children are involved in?"

Make sure YOU are doing your job as a parent!

Crime doesn't pay & we need to teach this to the youth!

Special Message:

To my middle son, sorry that someone stole your speakers & your very expensive video/camera that you earned by working hard & being the responsible young man that I raised you to be. God will bless you with another one so that you may use when you attend Georgia State this fall!

Sunday, May 22, 2011

1st Peter 3: 9-12

Do not repay evil for evil
or with insult,but with blessing,
because to this you were called
so that you may inherit a blessing.

For whoever would love life
and see good days must keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from deceitful speech.

He must turn from evil and do good;
he must seek peace and pursue it.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.

Food For Thought:

God got it! : )

To turn creativity into fruition,

sometimes you have to take yourself

out of a common environment.

Go to another location &

get the spark you need.

Renewal is key!

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

It takes a mighty Woman of God to hold her peace.

Great strength is what she has.

She's wise to know when to speak,

and when not to.

She knows there is a time to be a lion

and a time to be a lamb.

She has learned that it's wasteful to entertain

foolishness nor to engage with someone's ignorance.

Don't worry.

God was there when lies were told.

He saw the deceit & the manipulation.

He knows the full story when others don't

even though they think they do.

HE knows it All.

Even the integrity & dignity

that YOU maintained.

Since you're a mighty woman of God

and you've been treated unfairly & unjust...
simply pray for the unrighteous that

God may uncover their sinful wicked ways,
that they repent, ask for HIS forgiveness

and seek to walk in HIS light.

Food For Thought

Everything isn't always what it seems.

GOD IS working it out for YOU...
Afterwhile, you'll see. Trust HIM :)
