GOD IS WITH YOU!

Just starting off writing "this" blog, chills are running all over my arms! The chills are from thanking GOD for this human being...Jennifer! Although,I haven't known her very long or spent a great deal of time with her, I knew that the first time we met, she was a special woman.
How did I know this? Well, for starters she was very friendly. The kind of "friendly" that makes you appreciate "everything". She asked if I was Clay's mom, and I said, "yes". You see, I met Jennifer at our son's basketball practice. We were connected through our sons who are fanatic's over basketball, and they were also in the same classroom last year. As the season went on, Jennifer's bubbly spirit was "touching". She always had a glow, a smile, and lots of laughter!
She reminds me in some ways of my sister Tonya who lives in Baltimore. You could see that Jennifer had a way with kids, she involves herself, and made things fun for "everyone" .
I love that! You see, my sister and my cousin who have boys as I do always compliment me on how I raised them...and I always compliment them. They are the moms who can get down to the nitty gritty of "boys". lol I mean , Playstations, and other boy things! I can do it, however, it's not easy... as soon as I get a control, I'm everywhere, and actually, I'm not doing a darn thing but causing my son to lose the game altogether. lol I'm the one who is the "enforcer". I guess I had to be that way, because I was a single mom for a long time, and I just couldn't allow my sons to even think that they could run over me. Not that their kids did,but I had to cover all bases if you know what I mean. lol
So with Jennifer, I admire that in her. She's a great mom, a great wife, which makes a great woman! You can tell that her character is one of good values and morals. You can spend five minutes with Jennifer and she could change your mood from good to super!
"Isn't that something?" (smile)
"Why am I blogging about Jennifer?" Well, for starters, I care! Jennifer is battling cancer and I'm saddened that this wonderful woman is suffering. Now don't get me wrong, no one ever deserves to suffer from cancer or anything else. Unfortunately, ups and downs is a part of life here on earth. Not only is Jennifer suffering, but her dear husband, Brian who has been such
amazing support, along with her two loving sons. Jennifer's Shoes...not easy to walk in, however, she's still walking!!!! What courage and strength! Most of all , the love that this family has for one another! That's the way it should be in every household with or without an illness. They demonstrated that, well before this came into their lives! Let this be a daily reminder, never, ever take your loved ones for granted. Tell them you love them, kiss them, hug them. Do special things for them. Talk to them, listen to them, concern yourselves with their concerns, help them, ...make them know just how much you truly love them.
Most importantly, let this be a lesson of gratitude! Stop complaining about the small things...let it go. We're all guilty of this, but open your eyes and see the big picture, treasure what you have, and take notice of every single blessing no matter how small or silly it may seem.
Jennifer's shoes...not easy to walk in, but yours are!
My Love To The Hill Family
